TCEJ: Focused on Character
The Christian Everyday Joe (TCEJ) understands that character matters above all else, both in a man’s relationship with God and in his relationship with his family and fellow man. It’s a truth that the writer of Proverbs understood while, as he stated in Proverbs 22:1, “A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favor rather than silver and gold.” But it wasn’t just the writer of Proverbs who understood how crucial character is to a man’s life, so did the Apostle Paul. He stated in Philippians 2:3-4, “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.” Proverbs says it. Paul says it. Life reveals it. Character is crucial.
There is no role more vital to the life of a family than that of the husband and father. As the spiritual leader of the home, his attitude sets the tone for a family’s success. The Christian Everyday Joe values his role as a husband and as a father. The simple acrostic below stresses the Father’s role and priorities.
